The Concept

Quite simply, we are committed to offering the best researched centenary battlefield tours available:

We have set aside 2012 and all of this year to research our tour itineraries; every battlefield we walk, every cemetery we visit,  (even every hotel we stay), will have been thoroughly researched to deliver the following:

  • Attendance at the official remembrance commemorations
  • A comprehensive battlefield tour; vehicular and walking
  • Telling the soldier's story

Only on the actual battlefields can we hope to learn, explore and understand - just a fraction - of what took place on the Western Front during those momentous years 1914 - 18. The tour will not simply be used as an excuse to "be there on the day", but rather as a backdrop to a comprehensive battlefield tour. The detail and content of the official remembrance commemorations has yet to be announced, but based on our experience of previous anniversary events, one can expect the inclusion of royalty, marching bands and all the pomp and ceremony fit for such occasions.

Each tour will feature personalised accounts - letters and diaries - of the men who fought in these battles, many supplied from the touring group!  Customers will be encouraged to supply personalised details of ancestral connections for their chosen tour. Battlefields come to life when you can hear the soldier's words.
