In accordance with the provisions of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992, all monies paid to WFBT, either as a deposit or final settlement, will be held in a separate client account.
No monies can be released to WFBT until the specified tour has taken place.
This regulation guarantees a full refund of all monies paid in the unlikely event of WFBT failing to provide the tour booked.
In the unlikely event of WFBT having to cancel a tour for whatever reason, you will be informed as soon as possible. You will have the choice of accepting either an alternative tour or having an immediate full refund of all monies paid (including deposit)

WFBT accepts full responsibility for ensuring that the services it contracts to provide are to a reasonable standard, subject to the provisions of "force majeure". This provision means that WFBT does not accept liability for any damage, losses or additional expenses suffered by you or any member of your group, as a result of causes beyond the control of WFBT. Such as war, riot, accident, civil strife, industrial disputes, crime, natural or nuclear disaster, disease, acts of god, adverse weather conditions or similar occurrences. WFBT will however do its utmost to minimise additional expenses in the unlikely event of such occurrences.
WFBT are fully covered for public liability and for the hire and reward of fare paying customers. However, clients must be insured for travel to France/Belgium, especially in respect of medical cover. This is not included in the price and is mandatory for you and all members of your party. An E.111 card is required, however this is not sufficient on its own.

There is no limitation on the size of tour group. Small groups of up to 8 persons will be transported via a large people carrier. Coaches with driver will be hired to faciliate larger groups including our centenary tours which are limited to 15 persons. Seat belts must be worn at all times. Please exercise great care when accessing and exiting the Vehicle.
Clothing and Luggage
We get out and about whatever the weather. Wet weather clothing is essential on the tours and a comfortable pair of waterproof walking boots. Luggage should preferably include a rucksack for our walks and holdall style luggage for your stay.
Travellers must be in possession of a valid passport.
Unless otherwise stated, the pick-up and drop off location is Victoria Coach Park, 164 Buckingham Palace Road, SW1W 9TP. For smaller groups travelling together, door to door pick-up can be arranged. Please ask for details.
For those customers who want to organise a battlefield tour as part of a larger European tour, we can facilitate your travel from U.K and European airports.
We have no price deals with hotels, they are selected on the basis of what is best for the tour itinerary. Selected hotels are usually two and three star rated hotels of the major chains: Ibis, Holiday Express and Best Western. Occassionally we will use smaller independant hotels; all offer en-suite facilities, and a buffet style continental breakfast.
A single supplement of £120 per person (per 4 night stay) is payable by customers who opt for single room accommodation.
A buffet breakfast is always provided by our hotel. Our centenary tours will include a three-course evening meal with wine. The meal will be choices from the hotel "menu du Jour". Where no restaurant is available, then a local establishment will be used. Tailor-Made tours do not include evening meal. Lunch will vary, dependant on the itinerary, location and weather. Battlefield lunch will invariably be a packed lunch.
I will always specify non smoking rooms where their is an option at the time of booking. Smoking is not allowed on any of the vehicles.
Our website includes an outline tour itinerary for each of our centenary tours. These will be updated as further information about the commemorations becomes available. Our New & Stories page will also be updated accordingly. Please be advised that the official commemorations may involve local transfers from site to site, with all other transport restricted to park and ride. The cost of any park and ride that we will use will be covered within the cost of the tour. Full tour itineraries are sent out two weeks prior to travel. This is to ensure that any special requests that have been made have been fully researched and included within the itinerary.
Even after almost one hundred years live ammunition including bullets, grenades and shells, are a common sight on the battlefields and therefore extreme care should be exercised when we are walking the battlefields. It is possible to purchase relics that have been deactivated from several museums on our tours.
